Forgive me for my ignorance to the world of cycling, but does not Pogačar’s dominance raise suspicions of doping, given the history of the sport? Like he’s so far ahead of everyone else it seems crazy
No ignorance here, the short answer is yes and no. Yes because of the history, essentially. He won again on Saturday, he's been completely dominant this season. So this season the talk has got louder. No because although he's been dominant this year, he hasn't always been. He was beaten at the Tour two years in a row by Jonas Vingegaard. And because unlike figures like Armstrong there doesn't seem to be the same actual questions being raised with evidence rather than just "this doesn't feel right." This might be a good topic to dive into in a post!
